It’s been two years since the last issue of Amphetamine Blues. Making zines is no joke, especially when you’re a one-person operation and you always stuck between finding the time to write new material and saving money to print, it’s a struggle. But even if it’s slow-going, I’m not giving up. The zine’s still here, and that counts for something.
This issue has a new logo, inspired by 60s and 70s music mags like New Musical Express. I think it fits the vibe and plan to stick with it for a while.
Content-wise, I’m really happy with what’s inside. There are three killer interviews with Orymagdos, a Greek hardcore punk band, RAVAGERS, a high-octane rock ‘n’ roll band from the US and Rudy Charis, the guy behind what might just be the best unofficial biography of the Hellacopters. Plus a lot of album reviews, gig reviews and articles of interest.
It’s not easy doing this, but it’s worth it.
